Abstract:
Bion’s project offers St. Lawrence County (SLC), the North Country and the State of New York a unique opportunity to create an economically and environmentally sustainable industry based on the highest and best use of the SLC’s resources that historically have provided the basis for its manufacturing activity such as GM & Alcoa. Bion’s project relies upon those same resources to create a large scale “CleanTech” ag-industry by achieving a previously unknown level of environmental performance for livestock operations integrated with a significant generation of renewable energy in a number of forms.
